Retirement Planning: The Reset…Portfolio Construction at Ground Zero with Tony Demarin, CEO of BCV Asset Management.

The world and the investing climate have changed considerably since Y2K.  While some areas have seen considerable change, there are also some principles to investing that have remained tried and true.  This engaging presentation will look at the past, present and the future of security selection, portfolio construction and portfolio risk management.  In the months and years to come, we may see higher interest rates, higher inflation and potentially lower corporate profitability and a cash-strapped consumer.  If this is how the years unfold, we will explore important investment strategies that help to meet target returns while also managing risk during this type of market environment.

Tony Demarin, CEO of BCV Asset Management has over twenty years of investment and portfolio management experience.  Prior to forming BCV Asset Management Inc. in 2007, he was Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager at a leading Canadian investment management firm for seven years. As a senior member of the investment management team,  he shared in the responsibility for the management of over three-quarters of a billion dollars of financial assets. Previously, he was a Senior Financial Consultant with MD Management Ltd., a wealth management firm dedicated exclusively to physicians.
