On March 22, Federal Finance Minister Bill Morneau released the highly anticipated federal budget. And in response, Knowledge Bureau has already updated its latest version of the T1 Professional Tax Preparation – Basic course.
Not only will professional tax preparers learn the very latest tax changes for the 2015 and 2016 tax years, they will also benefit from the professional tax preparation and research software (student version) included as one of the course components. The software is used to prepare tax returns for tax year 2015. Tax year 2016 scenarios are prepared using the Income Tax Estimator tool from the Knowledge Bureau Toolkit.
The student prepares case studies for 2015 using the income tax software of their choice and researches tax questions using EverGreen Explanatory Notes. For students who don’t have their own software, student versions of ProFile, DRTax, and TaxCycle T1 software are available for download.
Students will also use the calculator from the Knowledge Bureau Toolkit to explore true-to-life scenarios for 2016 using our sophisticated Income Tax Estimator.
