People in the News: Reader Comments on Tax Reform

At Knowledge Bureau, we love to receive feedback from our readers. Klaus Theyer of Exact Tax Services commented on thought leadership about recent federal tax changes.  Here’s what he said:

Answering our survey question about what he liked the most about an edition of KBR, he said, “The points made about the unfair treatment of taxpayers through the blatant disregard of the Taxpayer Bill of Rights.”

He went on to touch on the importance that all financial professionals collaborate and voice their concerns to push the government to delay the implementation of tax reform.

“I think the time has come for Knowledge Bureau and all other accounting and tax preparation associations to get together and, as one voice, pressure the government to overhaul this insanely complex income tax system we have today. It trusts we would have the support of the taxpaying public. Every association has annual meetings representing their members with government officials partaking, which in some cases led to positive changes. However, a concerted voice would have a much stronger impact than individual organizations.”

He adds a PS:   “I cannot think of a better leader for that process than Knowledge Bureau under the leadership of Evelyn Jacks, in my opinion one of the most respected and outspoken individuals on this topic.” - Klaus Theyer, Exact Tax Service
