Knowledge Bureau Faculty Member, Siegfried Merten, MFA, Awarded Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal

At a ceremony held at Club Heidelberg St. Catharines, ON on April 12, 2013 Siegfried Merten was presented with the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. The medal was presented to him by MPP Jim Bradley and MP Rick Dykstra. Siegfried Merten has volunteered countless hours over the last seven years and been very active in the German Community. His effort and determination saved Club Heidelberg from its planned destruction. 

As a Master Financial Advisor and working in the area of tax preparation, he is also helping German pension recipients all across Canada who are now faced with the complicated taxation of their pensions by Germany and Canada going back to 2005. He also writes newspaper articles on the subject providing clarification of the situation for the German pensioners. He is a regular guest speaker at Seminars and Conventions updating Accountants and Tax Preparers on the complexities and compliance procedures.
