The financial industry is truly at a crossroads of change. We feel pressure from disrupting forces like fintech and advisor-bots. Our clients need us more than ever, but they have concerns about our professionalism following the financial crisis of 2008. And we put pressure on ourselves to stay competitive and knowledgeable. But these are the kinds of challenges that we as entrepreneurs live for. They’re what make us survivors.
And the experience we’ve gained from the school of hard-knocks also makes us great mentors for new graduates looking to break into the industry. So, with that in mind, we’ve launched a new group on LinkedIn called Executive Business Builders Network – Future-Proofing Your Business as a Financial Services Professional, and we’re inviting you to join!
What’s the purpose of the group?
What’s “Future-Proofing”? Future-proofing is the process of anticipating the challenges and changes ahead, not only to be proactive in developing methods to minimize the effects of shocks and stresses, but also to act as a catalyst to help others do the same. This process requires innovative thinking to identify future trends, to develop a methodology for setting new value standards and to prevent financial services roles and services from becoming obsolete.
What you can expect: As leaders within our industry, our future-proofing interventions should stimulate thought around what our industry will look like three to five years from now, and recognize why adaptability to change is so important today—not just to survive, but to thrive as part of an exciting new future.
Stay tuned for our first discussion topic after the August long weekend.
Join us today and be a part of an exciting conversation with peers and industry leaders alike!
