DAC Agenda Released: 18 Distinguished Speakers Take On Cutting Edge Topics

Winnipeg, MB - Top tax and wealth advisors from across Canada will travel to Puerto Vallarta later this fall to participate in a strategic think tank on the challenge of building multi-generational relationships in a global environment in which digital communications both enhance opportunities and  present new risks.

The 12th Annual Distinguished Advisor Conference (DAC), November 8 – 11, 2015, will show advisors how to accommodate and adapt their practice to their clients' changing lifestyles and priorities, providing "real time" wealth advisory services no matter where they are living around the world.

A strategic think-tank is more relevant than ever as a recession emerges and multi-generational planners challenge advisors.

“I’m really excited about the strong program to the theme:  Multi-Generation Planning:  Building New Wealth and Relationships in a Digital World,” says Evelyn Jacks, founder of the conference and president of Knowledge Bureau. “The 18 outstanding thought leaders who will be joining us will challenge delegates to think about the issues facing their business as transition family wealth with all the obstacles that come with the task.”

Overlooking beautiful Banderas Bay, the conference site was chosen to reflect the planning needs of snowbirds and their families: close to two million Canadians make Mexico their winter home. Delegates will have the opportunity to evaluate the retirement lifestyle their clients may be contemplating, all the while forging important new business, educational and personal networks.

Day 3 starts with a tailor-made survey exclusive to DAC attendees:  what clients really think of their financial advisors today from media sponsor Investment Executive.  Best-selling cross-border author Angela Preteau will demystify FATCA, T1135 Foreign Asset Reporting and US-Canadian pension and estate tax issues, while the controversial topic of Financial Infidelity will be broached by Craig Dowden, Ph.D., who has been described as “A Leader’s Best Friend” by W. Brett Wilson, former star of Dragon’s Den.

The DAC is ground-breaking in thought leadership, but it’s also a great way to meet top advisors from across Canada.  A annual highlight, this year’s showcase networking Gala syncs up one of the world’s hottest trends:  The White Night!  It’s a “Must-Attend” event for which delegates will want to be seen wearing white!
