There are over a million small businesses, which account for almost 78% of all private jobs created in Canada and 70% of the total labor force1;  and advisors who are looking to build their practices will find a real sweet spot in this market, especially as a result of important new tax changes.  Attendees will be treated to a comprehensive overview of those changes as well as how to plan for fiscal independence of the business and the people in it, including how to finance a business in volatile economic times.

This is a particularly important session because advisors will increasingly be called upon to help with transition planning. In 2015, almost 50% of all small and medium sized business owners are between 54 and 68 years of age and over 77% of them have more than 10 years of experience.

They will not be passing “start-ups” to their successors but, in many cases, vibrant small to medium sized businesses poised to grow. This provides a unique opportunity for income splitting, retirement income planning, mentorship and exit planning for owner-managers.  In addition, business successors will require help in financing future growth, and strategies for adapting to change, including volatile business climates. Learn how to mitigate risk with sound financial planning for the business itself.

Participants will learn through a case study and peer-to-peer discussion approach and earn 10 CE/CPD Credits .  For more information please call 1-866-953-4769 or register using the buttons below:
