Knowledge Bureau Designate Highlight

Grow your business with the MFA-Succession and Estate Specialist™ Designation.

Join Knowledge Bureau in congratulating Rick Tomalty in achieving his MFA-Succession and Estate Specialist™ Designation.

" The training and insights gained through completing the MFA program have vastly expanded the level of services that I am now confidently able to provide.  The Knowledge Bureau’s toolbox simplifies the complex, allowing deeper, more meaningful conversations with clients."

After a lengthy and rewarding career in branch management, Rick seized the opportunity in 2012 to re-establish himself as a private practitioner.  Working with colleagues and clients for over 25 years served to enlighten him on the fundamental principles of establishing and maintaining a successful advisory. He continues to build toward a vision of delighting clients through sound counsel, solid solutions and deep relationships.

Rick is a contributing author to ManageYourWealth.ca, and his articles have been featured in Fifty-Five Plus magazine and various charitable publications.  His sense of irony and humour leak out through his personal blog at RickTomalty.ca, where he writes on issues ‘where life and money collide’.

An active member of ADVOCIS, the Financial Advisors Association of Canada, Rick has served on the local executive board for longer than he cares to remember, where he has contributed for the past several years as Best Practices Chair.  He has also served as an advisory member for several local and international charities.  Whether coaching youth hockey, directing a charity hockey camp or sailing near the pristine 1000 Islands, Rick is most content when making a meaningful contribution to the lives of those around him.

Rick and his wife, Carol, are proud of their two adult sons, and have called Kingston, Ontario home for the past 10 years.
