KB Grads in the News - Kathy Arney, MFA-P™

A seasoned philanthropy professional, Kathy Arney has outstanding matchmaking skills.  She shares why the MFA-P™ Philanthropy Designation Program helped to improve them.

”As someone with a finance background and 25 years of experience in philanthropy, I wanted to understand more about supporting donors with their philanthropic strategy.  This program has provided me with some excellent tools to build my ability to support donors, and to improve my matchmaking skills in aligning the goals of the charity with the goals of the donor.”

Kathy found the MFA-P program exposed her to some planned giving tools she was not aware of that she will use to assist and support clients (both charities and donors) in their goals moving forward.

The MFA-P™ Designation program is for advisors looking for specialized professional credentials to develop plans with individuals and families interested in strategic philanthropy. This is an investment trend that is increasingly important to investors of all ages. Tapping into client’s philanthropic goals, advisors will increase opportunities to build trust by better understanding the clients’ values and critical personal causes.

The MFA-P™ Philanthropy Designation teaches advisors and their clients:

  • How to incorporate philanthropy into their practice in pragmatic terms
  • How to focus on gift planning strategies and vehicles that are relevant to client’s goals
  • Practical experience with numerous working case studies that allow advisors to apply that knowledge.
