Interest Rate Announcement Timelines

The Bank of Canada recently published its schedule of dates for policy interest rate announcements and release of the quarterly Monetary Policy Report. for the remainder of 2014 and 2015.

From September 2014 through December 2014 the announcement dates are:

• Wednesday 3 September
• Wednesday 22 October*
• Wednesday 3 December

The scheduled announcement dates for 2015 are:

• Wednesday 21 January*
• Wednesday 4 March
• Wednesday 15 April*
• Wednesday 27 May
• Wednesday 15 July*
• Wednesday 9 September
• Wednesday 21 October*
• Wednesday 2 December

*Monetary Policy Report published

Rate announcements are made at 10:00 A.M. Eastern Standard Time, and the Monetary Policy Report is published concurrently with the January, April, July and October rate announcements.
