Grad Spotlight - How Doris Expanded Her Tax Knowledge Base and Grew Her Business

Doris Woodman-McMillan earned her DFA-Tax Services Specialist™ designation in 2008, and has been active Knowledge Bureau as a presenter and content beta tester. We are pleased to have Doris as one of our distinguished grads.

How the DFA-Tax Services Specialist Designation Program Has Been Valuable:

"As a bookkeeper, I felt the best use of my study time was to earn my DFA-Tax Services Specialist designation. I have much experience with tax, but as it is an area that is constantly changing I wanted to invest in my knowledge base. With my increased understanding, I can provide my clients with the best information possible and save them money."

Work-Life Activities:

Doris is President of Numbers Unlimited, in Abbotsford, BC. She started her business in order to work around the schedules of her four children, who at the time ranged in age from 14 to 2. The business has grown and expanded many times since 1999, and her team has assisted clients in a variety of industries with their bookkeeping, payroll services, and tax preparation needs.

She is an active member of her community and believes in giving back whenever possible. This is in a way very similar to how her team operates  – they help people make their lives better.
