Four Major Trends Affect The Financial Office Of The Future

We’re in the midst of one of the biggest platform shifts in a generation and our data shows that there is a new 24 hour expectation of service that comes with it, says Rachelle Amyotte, Intuit Canada’s Accountant Business Development Leader, who will be a keynote speaker at the Distinguished Advisor Workshops.

“These changes have significant impact on not just how we run businesses, but what they will be worth we it comes time to transition them,”  says Evelyn Jacks, President of Knowledge Bureau. “Rachelle is one of the industry's most progressive business thought-leaders, and is passionate about social media, pricing and marketing.  We look forward to engaging our attendees at DAW in a vibrant discussion about the future of the tax accounting and financial services industries in light of dramatic technological disruptors.”

Rachelle leads Intuit Canada's Accountant Business Development team; a group whose mission is to help to improve the professional lives of accountants and bookkeepers so profoundly that they could never imagine going back to the old way of doing things. Rachelle was this year's Intuit Women's Network Achievement Award winner, given for her inspirational leadership and contribution both in and outside of Intuit.

Intuit is very proud to partner with the Knowledge Bureau and is dedicated to supporting initiatives focused on building financial excellence in training and development for bookkeeping, and tax professionals. We look forward to contributing and supporting the Knowledge Bureau this year,” says Scott Zandbergen, Group Marketing Manager, Intuit ProFile.

Rachelle will discuss several other trends in the industry.  “Did you know that 55% of average small-business owners use mobile apps to run their business every day?   The second major trend is the era of the cloud, with half of Canadian companies currently using some cloud-based services in their businesses.”

Another, says Rachelle, is the power of data to improve the quality of life.  “We’re witnessing a leveling of the playing field, where small firms are now able to access much of the same kinds of data that were once only available to only the biggest firms.”  But all of this has impact on how advisors position their service offerings for the future.
