EFILE Transmissions Begin February 20

February 20 is the first day of EFILE in 2017.  That means now may be the right time to get those receipts and documents in order to file sooner for your tax refund.   Here are the dates to know:

• EFILE - Blackout. The service is unavailable from January 21 to February 19.
• EFILE transmission of 2016 T1 returns (the current year) as well as the 2012 to 2015 T1 returns (prior years) will begin on February 20, 2017. 
• Corporate Internet Filing (T2 returns) is now available.
• T1013 (Request to Authorize or Cancel a Representative) can be filed electronically, however, preparers must use the 2015 form until February 10 using the T1013 web service.  The 2016 version will be accepted starting February 13.
