NEWLY UPDATED: Advanced Professional Income Tax Course

Are you ready to train new and staff on personal tax changes for 2020 at a comprehensive professional level?  Knowledge Bureau has just published its all new advanced T1 training course for experienced pros and it features fun and challenging new true-to-life case studies; all of which can be done online.

It’s perfect for more experienced practitioners and staff returning to busy tax practices. This course has been fully updated to the latest changes for 2020 and features the all new Income Tax Estimator, which allows clawback calculations for the Canada Recovery Benefit, now available.

Integrate the newest income sources  for 2020 including CERB, CESB, and various new business supports.

“This comprehensive course delves deeply into the deductions, tax credits, and tax calculations on the personal tax return, with an emphasis on capital gains and losses, and registered and non-registered investment income sources,” says Evelyn Jacks, President of Knowledge Bureau. “It overviews common and advanced client profiles, while sending students to the dynamic commentary in EverGreen Explanatory Notes to become ‘better investigative reporters’ who really dig for every tax advantage available under the law so that taxpayers keep more money in their own pockets this year.

Through the Professional Income Tax Course – Advanced Level, students will be exposed to a broad range of personal income tax topics in common and advanced scenarios, each featuring short answer and true-to-life case studies which provide an overview of the basic elements of the tax return, updated for the 2020 tax year and the details behind claiming income, deductions and tax credits on most lines of the personal tax return.  Students will learn to do case studies on their choice of student versions of popular professional tax software.

“I loved the course setup. I could work at my own pace and I could print off the assignments. This course, unlike CGA courses, did not treat me like a child by expecting an assignment each week. This course just gave me a deadline for completion and allowed me to work as quickly or as slowly as I deemed necessary.”  - Robert J. S., Manitoba

Prerequisites:  For new trainees, we recommend that the Knowledge Bureau's Professional Income Tax Course - Entry Level course be completed before enrolling in Professional Income Tax Course - Advanced Level or, at minimum, the student have prior experience with personal tax preparation.
