Acuity 2024: Announcement of Distinguished Advisor Award Categories

Knowledge Bureau is delighted to announce the winners of its 2024 Distinguished Advisor Awards at the Acuity Conference for Distinguished Advisors (DAC) November 10 – 12 in Montreal.  The star-studded ceremony, being held at the exclusive St. James Club, will kick off the three day educational conference – Canada’s only multi-disciplinary conference, featuring 20 thought leaders who will focus on the theme,  Safe Havens: Secure Financial Futures & Wealth Potential.   Winners will be honored in the following categories and contacted under separate cover for ceremony details:

  1. Honor Roll.  Recognition of graduates who have attained 90% or better on their Knowledge Bureau certificate programs over the past two academic years ending June 30,  2024. Knowledge Bureau is pleased to invite  156 graduates.  Congratulations!
  2. Scholar Program Graduates.  These graduates are working successfully towards their DMA™ designation which requires 6 certificate courses taken from one of 5 areas of specialization: personal tax, corporate tax, accounting services, small business management services.  Knowledge Bureau is pleased to honor 22 active students with an average mark of 90% on their course completions
  3. Outstanding Designates.  The top graduates in each of the DMA™(74) Specialist programs, the MFA-P™(128) and the RWM™(43)  Designation programs will be honored. 
  4. FDFS™ Honorees.  These thought leaders are top influencers in the community, who apply their multi-disciplinary skills, experience and knowledge to teach, mentor and give back to society by raising the bar in the tax, accounting and financial services.  Knowledge Bureau is pleased to honor 23 new FDFS honorees.
  5. Favorite Instructor.  This is the instructor in Knowledge Bureau’s curriculum (online and at the CE Savvy Summits) who is rated the highest over the past year by their students.  Knowledge Bureau is pleased to honor Carol Willes, LLB, MBA, LLM, TEP, FDFS™.
  6. Marquis Clients – the firm that has been most committed to educational excellence within their industry by enrolling in the most courses within Knowledge Bureau education programs.  Knowledge Bureau is pleased to honor three outstanding clients who have committed most significantly to lifelong learning pursuits in their profession:  Individual Award Winner – Tracey Watson, PBA, MFA of Balanced Bookkeeping and Accounting, Okotoks, Alberta with 19 graduate certificates;   in the area of taxation –    C & V Income Tax Services of London Ontario with 58 team member graduations and in the Financial Services - One Wealth Management of Ottawa with 41 graduate certificates.
  7. Top Disruptors Award – the firm that has changed their operating model in the most impactful way to scale their multi-disciplinary practice:  Knowledge Bureau is pleased to honor Tax Link Canada who is expanding its network as an RWM practice in the north with 8 connected firms.
  8. RWM Advisor of the Future Award – the firm that has most sustainably adopted the RWM™ program in their practice model.  Knowledge Bureau is pleased to honor Stefanie Kellar, CEO of Stellar Wealth & Tax.
  9. Movers and Shakers – RWM Firm of the Future Award – the individual who epitomizes the adoption of a new model to best serve the needs of multi-generation families through their commitment to  educational achievement and high standards of conduct.   10. Lifetime Achievement Award – the individual who has throughout their career been most influential in advancing their knowledge, skills, contacts and experience for high impact.  Knowledge Bureau is extremely pleased to honor Barbara Wigle, Bowyer Wigle, Inc. in Burlington, Ontario.

Winners receive complimentary admission to the awards dinner for themselves and up to three guests and gift certificates towards the conference registration.
