A special gala event will honour Knowledge Bureau’s 2018/2019 designates at the Distinguished Advisor Conference November 10-13 in beautiful Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. 1. Where is the conference going to be held?
This year the Distinguished Advisor Conference is at the beautiful Westin Resort and Spa in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
2.Who can attend the DAC Designate Graduation Reception?
It’s a by-invitation-only event for graduates of the RWM™, MFA™, MFA-P™, and DFA-Tax and Bookkeeping Services Specialist designates.
All grads and undergrads of these prestigious programs can attend to applaud their peers. A special graduation portrait and interviews with the designates will highlight this glitzy event. Plan to drink champagne!
3. What’s the theme for this year’s DAC Gala (it’s going to be fun!) and who can attend?
All delegates and sponsors are invited to the DAC Tropical Fiesta Dinner and After-Party. It’s a glitzy beach party filled with a variety of hilarious and memorable fun activities – from piñata bashing to margarita making and taco tasting under the stars! You might even be tempted to join a conga line or two!
Delegates and their spouses are invited to attend (spousal registration for DAC is required). There will be prizes for the best outfits and lots of additional surprises.

Reservations, cancelations and changes for Knowledge Bureau Conferences including the DAC and BBR – Business Builder Retreats can only be made through Knowledge Bureau.

7. What should I know about ground transportation after landing?
The hotel is located less than 10 minutes from the airport. Transportation has been arranged with Tropical Incentives. The cost is $22 USD + taxes round trip and must be arranged by November 1st.
Upon arrival after passing Immigration, pick up your luggage at the designated carrousel. Once you have cleared customs, you will need to go through a “Time Share Hall” - Do NOT stop here. Go outside and look for the Tropical Incentive bilingual staff who will be holding a DAC sign and will be waiting outside the time share lounge with the proper skycaps to take your luggage and accompany you to your assigned vehicle.
8. What will I receive when I arrive at the conference?
In your conference package you’ll receive your DAC Knowledge Journal, some fun surprises plus everything you need to know to have an outstanding learning and networking experience.
9. What kinds of food will be served at the conference?
The food throughout this event is delicious! From the incredibly yummy breakfasts served on the Pintores Terrace featuring scrumptious tropical fruits, juices, pastries, and hot and cold selections to the beachside Welcome Reception and the wonderful evening events planned just for you. Bottom line: your taste buds will be most grateful and very happy.
10. What is the recommended dress code for the conference?
It’s smart casual. Guys, you can wear open neck shirts and shorts and sandals. Ladies feel free to wear sundresses or shorts as well, but remember, the air conditioning may feel cool for some so bring a sweater.
One exception – the DAC Gala Dinner – This year the theme is Tropical Fiesta Dinner and After-Party (see above for dress code)
11. Will I have WIFI access?
Yes. This is included in the conference fees when you register with Knowledge Bureau.
12. Will I get a copy of the speaker presentations?
Yes, these will be available to you at the end of each morning of sessions.
13. Will there be an event photographer?
Yes – we love to take pictures for our DAC archives and hope you’ll seek out our conference photographer for pictures with your group and new friends.
14. How do I sign up for social activities and next year’s DAC?
