The global pandemic has driven millions of consumers to online shopping and digital commerce, and that has altered their relationship with tax accounting and financial advisors’ firms too. Will things ever go back to the way they were? Likely not, but here are four important marketing tips that can help you propel your business growth in 2022 from a leading Canadian social media expert.
There is a huge upshot in this new reality according to Darrell Keezer, CEO of Candybox Marketing a faculty member at the recent DAC. “Things will not go back to the way things were, but we can use this opportunity to grow our businesses and build new relationships.” Here four of Darrell’s tips on how to benefit from the digital economy :
1. Embrace digital – don’t delegate – automate. For example, there are affordable calendar, CRM and video tools that can be leveraged to make your business more efficient.
2. Use LinkedIn and Instagram for business purposes. LinkedIn is a powerful sales tool to connect with your target market, he says. There are an incredible number of businesspeople on LinkedIn. But it’s important to have a great profile. Search for connections, learn more about them, and then reach out.
3. Meanwhile, Instagram is where your customers are: 96% of businesses plan to use Instagram stories in the next six months.
4. Learn how to sell on social media. Start with relevant content. Content’s job is to create a conversation. Conversation’s job is to develop a relationship, and when you develop relationships, that’s when you develop revenue. Building your business is still all about building authentic relationships.
Bottom Line: Canadians have fundamentally changed their digital habits. Companies are using a digital first approach to their advantage and tax and financial advisors can as well.
