Chenine Humphrey, owner of Paper Trail Bookkeeping and Business Centre, is on the move! In the process of moving her existing bookkeeping practice to a commercial location where she will be launching an innovative new service to help bookkeepers.

Chenine is also setting up a resource centre in her area for bookkeepers to come in to get help when they get overwhelmed with work.

A Knowledge Bureau Distinguished Financial Advisor – Bookkeeping Services Specialist, Chenine said having the designation gives her more credibility for her business and with her clients.

“Having a DFA Bookkeeping Services Specialist Designation will help give more weight and credibility that will continue to give my current clients, as well as new clients, comfort, knowing they are working with a professional who specializes in bookkeeping,” she said.

Chenine started her career working in the corporate world for companies such as BC Hydro, Expo 86 and IBM Canada. The next phase of her career path had her working with small to medium-sized businesses, from setting up start-ups to helping stream-line existing businesses.
Fifteen years ago she started up her own bookkeeping business and Chenine has helped a variety of clients manage their business and finances.

Chenine has been a Regional Developer for the Institute of Professional Bookkeepers of Canada for the past several years, organizing regular monthly meetings in her area for bookkeepers to network and listen to industry experts speak on various bookkeeping-related topics.

“I also attend IPBC Conferences, Knowledge Bureau workshops, technology seminars and networking meetings that relate to bookkeeping. I was recently profiled by Sage during Bookkeeper Appreciation Week.”

Chenine has continuously been furthering her education in the bookkeeping industry. She has earned Canadian Payroll Association Payroll Supervisor Level II and continues to work towards the title of Certified Professional Bookkeeper from the Institute of Professional Bookkeepers of Canada.
