Fall Distinguished Advisor Workshop (DAW): Family Business & Year End Planning

The number of family businesses in Canada is growing! Yet, there are real issues around succession, business valuation and the financing of heirs that advisors and their clients need to be discussing now.

Get ready to expertly advise business owners about year-end tax planning and the best way to manage after-tax family income and the investment in the family business to meet future goals.

Confidently gain the trust of business owner clients with year-end tax planning as the perfect opportunity to have a meaningful conversation about strategic planning for the family business, how to transition the business from one generation to the next, and most importantly, how to value the business so that the most advantageous financial result can be achieved on succession.

Course Components: This one‐day workshop is delivered with three components; pre-reading, in-class session, and a post-session online course component (the latter is optional). The all inclusive workshop fess also include lunch, coffee, and snacks as well as accreditation for CE/CPD purposes and certification. Earn up to 30 CE/CPD credits, as detailed below.

Pre-Reading: Earn 3.5 CE/CPD credits. Do pre-session reading in EverGreen Explanatory Notes. Access to EverGreen will be provided.

In-Class Session: Earn 6.5 CE/CPD credits.

Post-Session Online (Optional): Earn 20 CE/CPD credits with the T2 Corporate Tax Preparation for Micro Businesses course. One full course credit towards a Designation!| Additional fee of $397.50 + taxes applies.
