The Distinguished Advisor Conference (DAC) was the best yet in its 15-year history, held in Quebec City last week. Not only were the educational sessions delivered by Canada’s top thought leaders in tax and wealth planning issues; the networking was outstanding. Check out our picture gallery (coming soon!) and this glimpse of comments from those who were there:
Diane Elliott, DFA - Tax Services Specialist from Ontario, gave the conference an A rating and said, “The topic selection offered great diversity – all relevant to my business. It opened my eyes to new information. I loved how motivating Caroline Ouelette was, and Shoshanna Green led a great discussion about newcomers to Canada. The information I learned about Northern issues and the Canadian-U.S. tax issues that apply to U.S. citizens was very helpful. DAC is such an excellent conference; I learned about different aspects that will help me in my business.”
Chenine Humphrey, Bookkeeper and DFA – Bookkeeping Services Specialist from British Columbia, said, “. . .DAC was top-notch as usual and helped me in thinking beyond my industry. The content will help educate me and my team on new areas to provide advice, and also pay more attention to those who are under-represented. The diversity of the content overall, and the deep diving into areas that aren’t typically covered are what I appreciated most. I am always referring people to Knowledge Bureau’s programs, and will definitely recommend attending DAC next year!”
Catherine Dabels, from British Columbia attended DAC for the first time and gave the following feedback: “There was a great variety of education, fun and networking. I appreciated that the sessions and information not geared to my profession were presented in a way that’s still useful and informative. Even in my first attendance of DAC, I felt like part of the family and that everyone there was invested in my success.”
Maryke Leonard-Troskie, of British Columbia added: “Excellent selection of speakers and topics that delivered real value and knowledge, much of which can be applied in many financial service sectors.”
Rosanna Sternat from Manitoba, liked the Business Builder Retreat best: “It provided me with the opportunity to reassess my role as the leader in our firm.”
