People in the News: Al Emid
Al Emid, one of three authors along with Evelyn Jacks and Robert Ironside of Financial Recovery In A Fragile World, recently appeared on the financial talk show Money Talks airing on Astor Communications’ station San Diego AM 1450. The broadcast was also carried in the Inland Empire area of California.
Emid had originally been booked for an 8-minute interview but he was asked to stay past the commercial break and the interview went on for more than double the original booking.
Emid and host Darren Vilardo discussed the connection between the Cyprus fiasco and investment portfolios, how investors deal with the continuing European crisis and the ideal relationship between client and financial advisor. Emid frequently parallels the advisor-client relationship with the doctor-patient relationship and he and Vilardo discussed that perspective. As it wound down host Darren Vilardo asked Emid to return at some future date.
Emid is also co-author of What I Have Learned So Far and How It Can Help You, a financial journalist, broadcaster, correspondent for foreign media, and has previously taught Canadian business at the community college level.
