We are very happy and relieved to provide you with this update on DAC 2015 in Puerto Vallarta: the Westin Resort and Spa has reported there are no damages; staff have returned as well, reporting no damages to their homes; and everything appears to be operating as normal—including the sunshine—after the tremendous scare from Hurricane Patricia on Friday.

We continue to pray for quick recovery for those in the rural areas who have lost their homes and possessions. In the meantime, we look forward to welcoming close to 200 delegates at the DAC Opening Reception in less than two weeks, when the topic of discussion at this incredible three-day think tank will be Multi Generation Planning: Growing New Wealth and Relationships in a Digital World.

Record increases in global household wealth since 2008 have shifted the emphasis in planning with high-net-worth individuals from preservation to growth. These are highly mobile people who expect digital access to transact financially from anywhere in the world—whether in their work environments or international retirement havens. Still, these same clients cherish personal advice from their trusted advisors. We’ll explore how to increase value propositions in this time of great change and disruption.

Puerto Vallarta is a beautiful paradise that reigns as one of Mexico’s most popular winter destinations because of its great diversity. Along with golden beaches, mountains and jungles you’ll discover modern amenities and creature comforts.

Hurricanes aside, Puerto Vallarta enjoys an almost perfect tropical climate. During the sunny dry season, from November to May, daytime temperatures hover at 27˚ to 30˚C (80˚ to 85˚F) and there is virtually no rain. At night, the temperature drops to 16˚ to 18˚C (55˚ to 65˚F), which is ideal for sleeping, but you may want to pack a shawl or light jacket when you visit.

The locals are happy to welcome an average of 3.7 million visitors to their town each year. Indeed, many American and Canadian snowbirds make it their home-away-from home winter after winter. In fact many become so taken with Puerto Vallarta’s ideal climate, they invest in real estate and businesses here.  Tax and financial advisors attending DAC will be taking note of these opportunities in assessing retirement plans with their clients.

The location of the 2016 DAC will be announced on the ground in Puerto Vallarta and on the Knowledge Bureau website on November 8. The date of the 2016 event is November 6 to 9 and the theme will be SOAR HIGHER: PLAN FOR YOUR GREATER POTENTIAL. It is an opportunity to think with, tap into, and influence the Top Guns in the financial services: highly engaged tax and wealth advisors who serve multiple generations in a family. This audience aims higher and has more fun (really!) experiencing education differently at DAC.
